A train derailed and set off an explosion and fire in the middle of a small Italian town on Monday night, killing at least 12 people, many as they slept in their homes, and injuring at least 50, officials said. (June 30) Shortly before 3am monday morning fire crews responded to the dollar store at 48th and Pecos. The store was fully engulfed with flames. Watch as the roof caves in about 15 seconds into video. No one was inside and no injuries have been reported. (March 13) Firefighters are battling a blaze in a six-story apartment building in Manhattan's Chinatown that has killed one person. Fire officials say another 21 people have been injured, including two firefighters. Firefighters in the Australian state of Victoria were battling to get on top of new flare-ups as high temperatures and strong winds intensified the bushfire risk.
